My Journey Has Always Been About Obedience
I gave my life to Christ at a young age. I was raised under the spiritual covering of two Holy Ghost-filled grandmothers who did not just teach the Bible they lived it. My aunt, Evangelist Linda Hart-Cade, became a spiritual mother who taught me the seriousness of holiness and walking out your calling with fear and reverence.
By the age of 11, I knew I was called to minister the Word of God. As a child I was taught to pray, fast, and discern spirits. I witnessed deliverance firsthand during family Bible studies and prayer meetings. Though I was often afraid, I had no other hope but God and that birthed a spiritual maturity far beyond my years.
As I grew older, life happened. I married, became a mom, divorced and as a single-mom raised four kids. As far as my career, I pursued nursing, became an educator, and earned my Doctorate of Nursing Practice and an MBA. But no matter how much I accomplished, the call of ministry never left me.
I have battled anxiety, depression, and even agoraphobia. But the same God who called me also delivered me. I went from fearing the outside world to living boldly -- and I realized my healing was not just for me. It was for the women and men God would place in my path.
Today I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of experience in healthcare, specializing in ADHD, anxiety, and depression. I am also the founder of Psalm for the Soul, 242 Outreach Inc., and Christ Essential Institute - three organizations built on one assignment: to help people grow spiritually, think clearly, and move forward in purpose.
This is not a platform. It is a calling.
